BENEFITS DELIVERED THROUGH CONNECTION WITH THE LEADERS INSTITUTE BRAND

Our reputation

The Leaders Institute enjoys a national reputation built on the foundations of its work in innovative leadership development and the creation of positive and sustainable change for individuals, organisations and society. We offer our corporate partners the opportunity to associate themselves with this highly respected and credible brand.  Independent research conducted in 2007 by the University of Adelaide School of Business, reported that the program ‘has the strongest imaginable positive endorsement from its graduates’. The researchers said the program’s ‘overall impact for the vast majority was profound, even life-changing’.

Our alumni

The year 2011 sees the Leaders Institute delivering the 12th GLF program to its 39 current participants. At the end of 2010, we had 369 graduates of the program (see list of graduates on the alumni page) with approximately 40% working in business, 40% in Federal, State and local government, and 20% in the community sector. Over 95% of our graduates remain in South Australia.  Our graduates are actively involved in the Leaders Institute's graduate programs (such as the GLF Edge, Think-tank and the Community Board Volunteering program) and are provided with many other ongoing opportunities for leadership development, community involvement and social connection.

Our Patron and Board of Directors

Our Patron is His Excellency, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, Governor of South Australia
Our Vice Patron (and former Chairman) is Sir Eric Neal AC CVO.
Our board of Directors is led by our Chairman, Colin Dunsford and is comprised of eleven other prominent business and government leaders.

Our Foundation and Honorary Members
Honorary and Foundation Membership are prestigious categories of membership offered only to those people who have achieved distinction in leadership, who exemplify the ethos of the GLF and who have made or are making a significant contribution to the Leaders Institute and the GLF. Many prominent South Australians have been invited to take up Honorary or Foundation Membership of the Leaders Institute, in recognition of the important contribution that they have made through their involvement with  Leaders Institute and the GLF.

Honorary and Foundation Members play an important ambassadorial role for the Leaders Institute and the GLF Program. As ambassadors, they receive invitations to the Leaders Institute’s key events (e.g. launch at Government House, graduation dinner etc.) and have the opportunity to network with other leaders in South Australia. These members may also be invited to join  Leaders Institute’s Board committees, its program reference group and/or to participate in interview panels for new program recruits.

A CORPORATE-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

The Leaders Institute seeks a business exchange with organisations by way of an arrangement in which its partners provide sponsorship funding and/or ‘in kind’ support and the Leaders Institute provides a return through a range of benefits tailored specifically to meet the business needs of its partners.

The Leaders Institute is looking to work with energetic and proactive organisations that are striving to be the best that they can be, and that do so by working intelligently, creatively and with integrity.

MEASURING OUTCOMES – A TWO-WAY APPRAISAL

The outcomes achieved and the benefits delivered to both parties in the partnership should, ideally, be measurable.  It is our view that open and ongoing dialogue will provide both our sponsors and the Leaders Institute with the best possible opportunity to maximise our individual investments and ensure the establishment and development of a long-lasting and fruitful working partnership. We encourage regular Work In Progress (WIP) meetings with all sponsor organisations and welcome an annual two-way appraisal to measure the value delivered to both parties by the relationship.

Your key contact at the Leaders Institutewill be our Chief Executive Officer, Niki Vincent. If you have specific performance management and appraisal measures you would like us to adopt, please let Niki know.
